More Tempo
After slowly building up, it was time to bump my training intensity a notch – that meant even more Tempo. Remember, getting comfortable is not necessarily a bad thing. I am finishing a block of training before I start my new weekly training format (more on that later…) so it was good to finish on a high(er intensity note). Also I didn’t have the typical New Year’s Eve with crazy partying, quite the opposite, so I was ready to train in the first days of 2014, not having to ‘recover.” Like I have said before it’s easier to maintain a level of fitness than to start from scratch many times over. Overall it was a pretty uneventful week…still winter…still icy…still in love with the indoor trainer.=)
